Okra Soup

Total Cooking Time: 30 – 35 min
Serving: 4

Ingredients:

    • 4 cups Okra
    • 1 grilled tilapia (slice into 4)
    • 1 cups cooked frozen shrimp
    • 8 slice of fromage (optional)
    • 3 cups water
    • 1 fresh tomato, diced
    • 1 tsp ground smoked shrimp or seasoning cube to taste
    • 1 tsp seasoned salt
    • ¼ tsp black pepper
    • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
    • pinch of baking soda (optional)
    • 2 Tbsp of palm oil

Steps:

  1. Add okra to water and bring it to boil
  2. Add a generous pinch of baking soda
  3. Cook on medium high for 15 min
  4. Add fish, shrimp, fromage, diced tomato, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and smoked shrimp
  5. Cook for 15 min
  6. Add palm oil and let it cook for 2 min
  7. Serve it hot or warm with any type of fufu ( corn, elubo, yam, etc.)
